How do I convert .crt file to .pem file?

Question: How do I convert .crt file to .pem file(s)?

Answer:

-> openssl x509 -in input.crt -out input.der -outform DER

then

-> openssl x509 -in input.der -inform DER -out output.pem -outform PEM

Now you have the file in .pem format

If you do not have OpenSSL installed, you can find compiled bin aries on http://www.openssl.org

Windows Builds of OpenSSL can be found here. Light builds of W32OpenSSL will suite most Windows users just fine.

Note: By default Comodo sends our certificates in PEM format.
