The domain owner can access the quarantine system directly via IMAP, or using the web interface. Note that the use of the quarantine is optional, and not a necessity, since legitimate senders will always have received a bounce message if their email was blocked as spam, email never gets lost.
Web Interface access
From the web interface you can simply access your spam quarantine folder. Spam messages are stored in the quarantine up to 30 days, after which they are automatically removed. You are also able to upload spam messages that were still delivered to your email client, to further improve our filtering technologies (only the open .eml format is supported, Outlook .msg files are a proprietary format and therefore cannot be supported currently).

IMAP login
Users can connect to spamfilter1.webhostingireland.ie using their domainname as username, and domain password as password. Administrators can login to the special user "global" to gain access to the global caught folder.
IMAP folders
All emails, except those containing viruses, rejected at the DATA level are stored in the IMAP quarantine system. Wrongly blocked spam can be easily released by dragging and dropping the message from the IMAP Caught to the Release folder. Released messages are delivered automatically to the origin al recipient, and the internal databases are corrected to avoid making similar mistakes again. Users can also report spam messages that were not filtered by the system by dragging messages to the Spam folder. This should only be used for messages that were not properly blocked by the system (so there is no need to report messages from the Caught folder). The reported spam is automatically analyzed to help and improve the spam filtering system.
Please note that the "Spam" and "Release" folders are write-only. This means that you can drag/drop messages to folder, but you cannot open it in your email client. In case your email client (e.g. Outlook) shows messages in the Spam/Release folder, this will be a local cache of the email client which does not reflect the actual status of the processing on the server.
