Comodo EV AUTO-Enhancer - Automatic EV Deployment and Maintenance Technology
If you have not already done so, please download the zip file that matches your order.
You will need to replace the bundle file that is in use for the web site with the one downloaded above for EV AUTO-Enhancer
When deploying EV AUTO-Enhancer with Apache, you **MUST** use the 'SSLCertificateChainFile' directive instead of the 'SSLCACertificateFile'/'SSLCACertificatePath' directives.
Also, you must do a full restart of Apache for these changes to take effect
NOTE: If you use only SSLCACertificateFile/Path, the green bar will not appear in your customers browser, unless the customers browser already has the new Comodo Root installed.
If your version of Apache does not support 'SSLCertificateChainFile' then you will not be able to use the EV AUTO-Enhancer method. Instead, you will need to use the EV Enhancer method - see Related Article below.
For Information:
We are aware that Apache 1.3.x with Apache-SSL (http://www.apache-ssl.org), aka Ben-SSL (after Ben Laurie the origin al author), does not support the SSLCertificateChainFile directive in any version.
Apache 1.3.x and Apache 2.x.y with mod_ssl (http://www.modssl.org) always support the SSLCertificateChainFile directive.
